När vi ändå är inne på vinbär..

Idag på P4 Västmanland pratade vi om vinbär, eftersom de är i säsong just nu var det ett ganska passande tema tyckte jag. Idag var ni lyssnare på hugget och ringde in era bästa recept med vinbär och då främst röda vinbär. En kvinna tipsade om att man kan göra den här pajen, fast byta ut ananasen mot röda vinbär, det måste jag absolut testa!

Men vi bakade inget i studion idag, nej vi gjorde istället marmelad på mina klarröda vinbär. En vuxenmarmelad kallade dom det för och det kan jag faktiskt hålla med om. Istället för att bara koka ihop socker och bär tog jag ut svängarna lite mer och smaksatte med ljust muscovadosocker, vaniljstång och rom. Attans så gott det blev och jag kan tänka mig att den passar utmärkt till en lite starkare ost och några salta kex.

Ser ni föresten min tjusiga tratt? Den och lite annat smått och gott fick jag av min kära lilla mormor igår. Spontana presenter uppskattas alltid!




Vinbärsmarmelad med rom och vanilj 1 burk:

5 dl röda vinbär
3 dl strösocker
2 dl ljust muscovadosocker
2 msk rom
1/2 vaniljstång

Rensa bären väl och skölj dem under kallt vatten, häll upp dem i en tjockbottnad kastrull. Ha i de båda sockersorterna, rom och den halva vaniljstången. Rör om tills allt socker har lösts upp. Skumma av marmeladen under kokningen, låt koka ca 15 minuter. Låt svalna något och ta ur vaniljstången innan du häller upp sylten på väl rengjorda burkar. Sätt på locket direkt och förvara svalt och mörkt.

Nu har jag nästan använt upp alla vinbär jag plockade sist, jaga fick inte ens tid att frysa in dem som jag först tänkt. I en gamal kokbok hittade jag ett recept på röda vinbär och rabarbersaft, får jag bara fart på saftmajan blir det nog veckans projekt!
