Äppelpäppel..

Så får vi vända blad och ta fram september månad, här är molnen gråa och kanske blir det en skvätt regn fram mot eftermiddagen. Jag hoppas jag har fel, det vore skönt att få spendera lite tid ute idag.

I vår trädgård har vi ett gäng äppelträd, alla med vad det ser ut som ganska många år på nacken. Jag kan ju säga att artbestämma äppelsorter inte är min grej precis, men som tur är har tidigare ägare ritat en liten karta över äppelträden så jag vet vilken sorts äpplen jag har. Vad det ser ut som är det en bra blandning mellan sorter och har vi tur kan vi äta äpplen en bra stund framöver!

Den mumsiga fördelen med att ha så mycket äpplen är att man bara måste göra pajer och äppelkakor av dom! De äpplen som ramlar ner och hinner bli lite småfula älskar hunden att jaga, så där får jag stå mitt på gräsmattan och kasta halvruttna äpplen så mycket jag bara orkar. Men de kommer ju i alla fall till nytta och det är ju det viktigaste!

Det första jag bakat på äpplena i vår trädgård blev en mycket enkel äppelkaka. En sån där som smeten görs i kastrullen som man smälter smöret i, fort går det och nästan ingen disk alls blir det. Kan det bli bättre än så?

Äppelskivorna blir extra goda om man steker dem i en klick smör, lite sirap och kanel, men har man riktigt bråttom kan man hoppa över detta och bara krydda dem med kanel och socker!

Höstens första äppelkaka ca 15 bitar:

150 g smör

1 dl sirap

1 dl strösocker

2 ägg

2 tsk bakpulver

3 1/2 dl vetemjöl

2 tsk kanel

3 medelstora äpplen

25 g smör

1/2 dl sirap

2 msk kanel

Smält smöret och blanda i sirap och socker. Låt detta svalna något och rör sedan i äggen, ett i taget. Blanda samman bakpulver, mjöl och kanel och vänd ner det i äggsmeten. Rör smeten helt klumpfri. Klä en liten ugnsfast form med bakplåtspapper och ha i smeten.

Skär äpplena i skivor, smält smöret i en stekpanna, ha i sirap, kanel och äppelskivorna. Låt dem bli genomvarma och lite mjuka, fördela dem jämnt i formen med smet, häll över smöret och sirapen som är kvar i stekpannan.

Grädda i 180 grader i ca 30 minuter. Kakan kan gärna få vara lite kladdig i mitten.

Ät som den är eller servera vaniljvisp eller vaniljglass till.

Ser gott ut! Jag har rört ihop äppelmos i några omgångar. Hälsokokboken bjöd på ett enkelt recept där man bara behöver äpplen, socker ock lite vatten. Snabbt smidigt och GOTT. Dessutom smaksatte jag med lite kanel, mums!

Hej! Det var ett recept som jag ska försöka prova när jag ska hitta på något med äpplen. Har ett äppelträd som jag inte vet vad det är för sort men det blir en vacker rosa färg när man gör äppelmos av dem, det blir det i morgon. Men det första jag gjorde var äppelkräm.

Gadhafi gunmen cross border from Algeria to Libya

Gunmen loyal to Moammar Gadhafi have crossed the Libyan border from Algeria and attacked revolutionary forces in a town near the frontier, killing six people, officials said Sunday.The cross-border attack on Saturday shows loyalist forces have managed to escape Libya and regroup and collect arms, bolstering fears the North African nation could face a protracted insurgency.Fighters who took up arms against Gadhafi have seized Tripoli and have gained control of the rest of the country, but they are still battling forces loyal to the ousted regime on several fronts.

Libya officials also announced on Sunday the discovery of a mass grave believed to hold the remains of 1,270 inmates killed by Gadhafi's regime in a 1996 prison massacre. The site — a desert field scattered with bone fragments — was found outside the walls of Tripoli's Abu Salim prison, w <a href="http://www.vuittonbags.net">Gucci purse</a> here the victims were killed on June 26, 1996, after protesting conditions at the facility. A demonstration by women demanding justice for the victims of that prison massacre was one of the things that touched off the uprising against Gadhafi in February.

Col. An AP reporter in Sirte said there were dozens of airstrikes throughout the day in and around the city, possibly softening up targets for a new push by revolutionary forces in the coming days.

Sirte, 250 miles (400 kilometers) southeast of Tripoli on the Mediterranean coast, is the Libyan city most associated with Gadhafi.

An offensive by anti-Gadhafi forces on Saturday failed to dislodge die-hard loyalists of the fugitive leader.Anti-Gadhafi fighters set up new checkpoints and posted snipers in strategic areas on the outskirts of Sirte. But they did not launch an assault after facing fierce resistance on Saturday that left seven of their comrades dead and more than 150 wounded.

Osama Nuttawa al-Swehli, a revolutionary logistics officer, said the goal on Sunday was to squeeze the city and prevent any former regime figures believed to be holed up inside from escaping.
